National Schools
TGS works with the Malaysian Ministry of Education who determine which schools are involved in the program, and we will allocate you to a school based on the methods you need to teach. You will be asked to update your details on the methods list form (located below) Note that Malaysian primary school teachers work on specialisations or methods in the same way as secondary do. Many schools in the national system are not well-funded and may lack the infrastructure and resources you might expect in a school. Also class sizes can be as high as 40-50 students. These schools teach mostly in Malay but have certain classes such as science and maths in English. The level of English proficiency among the student varies and depends largely on the location of the school and its surrounding demographic.
